Many children find clocks and how they work difficult to grasp, and its not always easy to show them how time works. Its the perfect job for a computer, and thats why we've brought out a brand new version of this best-selling pack.
Talking Clocks is now an even better way of showing how clocks work, i.e. how an analogue clocks hands move in relation to each other, and how digital clocks' numerals change. Unless its pointed out, many children fail to notice (or quickly forget) that the big hand moves rather faster than the hour hand.
The new version for Windows comes with three different clock styles: two animated 'kiddie' clocks, and one in a more adult style. Each is supplied with hands and as digital, making six in all, which can be AM, PM or 24-hour. They can use any combination of times, from just the hours to any mixture of 5 minutes, right down to any minute, e.g. 17:53 pm. Pupils can have just one go at each question, or up to three, working against the clock, or taking as long as they like. Spoken times use real speech, and work done can be printed from all four parts (see right)
As well as the charming new clock faces, the new Windows version includes 48 Q.C.A. term-linked files which you can load in to exactly match children's needs. All screens have been redesigned (800 x 600) and made even easier to follow with more on-screen instructions. Includes ten copiable worksheets and is ideal for check-ups, practice and group demonstrations, providing differentiated work for all ages and abilities.
